Lenka should receive a special mention as she could not do enough to make our stay special. If you want a top class hotel close to the old town then you must try the Alchymist.

We have never stayed at a hotel like this. The building is several hundred years old (but completely modernized). It only serves a few guests at a time. Our room was gigantic and stately. This hotel is located a short distance from the Charles Bridge. It is also located near the trolley and several nice restaurants. We never took a taxi as everything was so close. The entrance makes you feel like you are back in the Middle Ages (except for the smells, poverty, etc). The staff was very helpful and spoke very good English. They were very helpful in providing directions and suggestions for meals. While it is connected to another hotel with a spa, we never took advantage of this because there was just too much to see in Prague.

My daughter and I traveled to Prague in September, and stayed at the Alchymist Nosticova Palace for five days. The hotel is gorgeous, and is like a step back in time. The hotel has a very friendly amazing staff. The complementary buffet breakfast is delicious, and they will even make omelettes at your request. The back Breakfast room is stunning with chipped mirrored tiles on the walls. Try to eat in that room for breakfast. Every evening they have complementary wine and cheese at 5 PM. The Hotel is located in the very convenient old part of Prague. The rooms are lovely, and have a little kitchen. They provide a tea kettle, free water bottle daily, and a refrigerator with snacks to purchase. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Alchymist. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel!

We got complimentary chocolates and a water bottle every day in our room, and Bohemian Sekt on arrival. The breakfasts are amazing! We also enjoyed the wine and cheese on the late afternoons. We chose to use the spa at the sister hotel Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa and that was amazing too. It is free to use for guests at the Alchymist Nosticova Palace. The concierge helped us book our taxi ride to the airport and everything was very smooth. I hope I will be able to stay here again!
