“Big room”

We stayed here for one night in a superior twin room on our way to Kagoshima. The room was very big which was excellent because we had a lot of baggage. There is a parking fee which I didn’t know before I booked for 800 JPY which is a little bit expensive, but the room was very cheap so it’s ok.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days, nearby the Hakata Station (15 mins walk), there are too many convenient store just across the hotel and very nice envirronment. The receptionist was so nice, speak very well English and even we found 1 Indonesian front desk staff . :) The room is small but so comfy cos so clean and proper. Even the bathroom amenities are all so nice, good smell. I am weak if it's about hotel amenities. The most exciting part of staying in the hotel, they gave us "gifts" if we decided to not "make up" the room every day. Just give the "do not need a make up room" sign in front of the room door then they will give us a big bag later in the evening, full of clean towels & bathrobes. In return, we can put the used/dirty towels back to that bag & just left it in the front of the room. Since, we are only back to the hotel for shower and sleep then go out for almost a whole day, we think, we did not need any make up room every day. We can choose gifts from the hotel. Exciting hotel! Love!

I booked this hotel during the Sakura season in Fukuoka and it was one the the good deals that time. Hotel has a good location, just a few (3-5) minutes walk to the Hakata Station (Take the exit near hard rock cafe) which is a good base as we travelled to Saga, Nagasaki and other areas. It is also walking distance (around 20mins) to the yatai in Nakasu area, Kushida shrine and many other temples in Tenjin. The room (a small double) is quite small but ok enough for us 2 Asian girls, but it will be stuffy for taller/bigger people. There is a small ref, a small tv (which we never used). My only complaint is that the bathroom/shower area is too stuffy especially when you bathe with warm water. The complimentary breakfast buffet was adequate and will fill you though nothing stands out. The staff are really friendly and accomodating. Will stay here again.

Take exit 17 west from Hakata Station and walk straight towards Family Mart. Follow the road (right) and walk about 50m to the first junction. Turn left and the hotel is just a few steps on your left (opp Yaoji Hakata Hotel). Pros: near Hakata Station Friendly & helpful front desk staff. The hotel and room is clean. Convenience stores are available nearby. Cons: small and compact room. Small bathroom. No cupboard. Vending water is only available at level 5. Some bath amenities are available at the ground floor. Overall: not too bad for a budget hotel. They also allow you to leave your luggage at the hotel if you come in early and if your departure is later. Will return again if I'm ever in Fukuoka. Tips: the hotel is also very close to Hearts bus station where you can travel to other destinations economically. Be sure to also purchase the 2 day subway pass at 720 yen which is only applicable to foreigners.
