“Typical Parisian Budget Hotel”
I can only assume the people who wrote the "horror story" reviews have never been to Paris or stayed anywhere other than a Premier Inn. I can only assume the people who wrote the "horror story" reviews have never been to Paris or stayed anywhere other than a Premier Inn. Compared to some of the overpriced dives I've stayed in in London this was luxury :) Hotel Picard is a very typical Parisian bugdet hotel. In fact slighty better than average as it actually HAD a lift (I've stayed in plenty without) and my single person room came with a double bed and a good view. I slept well, the room was clean and the staff were great. I also felt safe and comfortable walking around the area. Lots of nearby restaurants and as the hotel is only a five minute walk from the nearest metro station (Republique) all of Paris is at your disposal. From Gare du Nord to Republique is three stops on the Metro. I would happily stay here again.
