“Interesting hotel in a lovely area of Boston”
For the budget minded traveler this is a great place to stay. Rates are reasonable for the city of Boston when booking on a travel site. They are far lower then the hotels own website. It is an old building near the historic Navy Yard and connected to the YMCA Gym. Public transport to North Station… Más
For the budget minded traveler this is a great place to stay. Rates are reasonable for the city of Boston when booking on a travel site. They are far lower then the hotels own website. It is an old building near the historic Navy Yard and connected to the YMCA Gym. Public transport to North Station is a drag but I Uber everywhere. The hot water in the rooms is a major issue. The advice of the front desk was to let the tap running before jumping in to shower. Not new but they have rooms with a full kithchen but with zero cooking utensils. This area of Boston is new to me and up and coming,

“One night”
I arrived from South station (~12 minute car ride) right after check in time. The man at the front desk was very polite and courteous. My room was ready on time. I arrived from South station (~12 minute car ride) right after check in time. The man at the front desk was very polite and courteous. My room was ready on time. It had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee besides the other essentials. The bathroom was tiny; I felt claustrophobic with the door closed. The TV remote did not work. The lights were very dim. Pretty much the entire hotel was very outdated. Paint was old and chipped and the carpet smelled. The walls were also paper thin. My neighbor’s children kept running up and down the hallway until security loudly had to yell at them at 2am. In the morning, checkout was easy and the kept my luggage for free. Overall, location was next to the Navy Yard and the staff was great. Unfortunately, the hotel itself needs some work.

The hotel is in need of significant updating. It is reasonably priced for the area. Check-in was not good. The hotel is in need of significant updating. It is reasonably priced for the area. Check-in was not good. There were probably seven people checking in front of us, and that wait took about 35 minutes. The clerk was irritable. Other desk clerks we encountered were friendly and helpful. The hot water is not great. We actually inquired about this and the maintenance man quickly arrived to check on the problem. He suggested that we let the water run for 15 minutes and that by then the water should get hot. The room was neat and clean. It is questionable whether I would stay here again.
