“Amazing!!!”

My girlfriend and I visited here August 27-September 3, 2020. I booked it in May durning the COVID outbreak and wasn’t sure we would be able to go, but thank goodness we were able to. The resort was beautiful. The most impressive thing we noticed was, the resort was fully staffed even when they were at 25% capacity. This was my 20th time in Mexico, but my girlfriends first. Within the first 3 days, she said, “I love it here, can we come back every year?” It impressed her so much. Not every restaurant was open at the same time, but there all were open at some point during our stay. The entertainment was so enjoyable. At other places, I could take it or leave it, but here I looked forward to seeing what was going on every night and looked forward to the shows. I wish I could remember everyone of the staffs names, but the list of thank you would take up the page. Room was beautiful and cleaned everyday, but never saw them. I can’t say enough about this place. We loved it.

Secrets Capri is amazing! Sadly we found out recently that the property will be changing hands and closing temporarily. My wife and I both work in the travel industry, and Secrets Capri was the first of MANY all inclusive resorts that we visited together. When we found out about the closure, we made last minute plans to visit an old friend one last time. The resort was just as we remembered it from our first visit. It is a smaller resort, where you can get to know and appreciate the staff. There are three staff members that I would like to mention for their outstanding service and friendship. Juan, who is the bartender at the swim up bar called Manatees is incredible. We met Juan a few years ago on our first visit. We were so excited to see that he is still with the company. He is truly an asset to their business. I have never seen service to the level that he provides for his guests. Regardless of the crowd, he always makes sure to take and fill orders as soon as the guest arrives. And ALWAYS with a smile on his face. Our drinks were never empty! Since there were fewer guests (due to Covid) we had a few moments to talk to Juan, and he is such a genuine person. I am happy to call him a friend. Hugo is a server. On our first trip to Capri, he took incredible care of us during a private dinner on the beach. On this visit we found him working in multiple restaurants depending on the time of day. Hugo's service is exceptional. It seems that he can keep up with every table and still make each guest feel like they are his top priority. Carlos works with the entertainment team. This trip was our first time meeting Carlos, but we knew immediately that he was a very special member of the staff. One of our favorite memories from our first trip was playing bingo at the swim up bar. We were so happy to find that this is still a daily activity, and Carlos was our host. He is very engaging, and had the crowd laughing during the game. He was also our host for karaoke and other events. Much like with Juan, we were fortunate enough to have some time to speak with Carlos and get to know him a bit. The conversations made a lasting impact, and won't soon be forgotten. In closing, I would like to say that it is my hope that AM Resorts keeps all three of these fine staff members in the fold at different resorts. For my travel clients it's very comforting to know that I have personal relationships with staff members at the resorts that I send them to. As a traveler, I find it to be a remarkable and very rewarding experience to build these relationships. I would personally be much more likely to visit other AM Resorts if I knew that any of these three were on staff.

“Capri what Unlimited Luxury and service”
This was our second time at Capri. Both time what great service from the hostess to the waiters, Karen at Breakfast and lunch at sea side grill. The Hostess and the waiters at Portofino were outstanding. One of the best restaurant for dinner. Mari took care of us with great service at the CoCo Café. Jessica at the front desk area helped us with all the question we had on the trip. A great resort. To bad it is closing. I hope Secrets keep the great worker who have served us well. Michael

“Secrets Capri is closing”

The property is beautiful and the staff are amazing. We were there through hurricane Zeta and the staff did an incredible job making us as comfortable as possible through a difficult situation. Unfortunately, the staff did have to deal with one very ungrateful customer, but did so very well, separating her from the rest of us. Although the custom made omelets were delicious, everything else on the breakfast bar was cold. Potatoes, sausage, pancakes, bacon, all cold. Oceans and Seaside Grill were only open on alternating days, and not open after the storm. We were never disappointed with a meal from Portofino or Himitsu. The stuffed chicken at Portofino was our favorite. We are glad we got to see this resort prior to its closing, and will have some lasting memories to cherish.
